At ABM Canada, our business community convenes and strengthens connections through intentional, pre-arranged in-person meetings. The essence of the event lies in aligning business goals and values, each meeting presenting an opportunity to cultivate relationships, ranging from friendships to formal business partnerships.
We encourage all First Nations, Métis communities, and development corporations to get involved. We guarantee meaningful connections that create results.
If you are NOT a member of the ABM Business Community but wish to participate, we’d love to have you. Please schedule a meeting with us to discuss your objectives and we will be able to let you know who you can connect with at the event.

How It Works
If you are NOT an ABM Member, please book a meeting to discuss your business goals.
If you represent an Indigenous community or development corporation, we bring companies to the event that match your priorities. If you represent a company that aligns with the objectives of the communities and development corporations, we encourage you to register.
Your event registration includes up to 31 20-minute appointment slots you will fill in preparation for the event.
You create an online business profile that expresses your goals for attendance. This profile attracts the right business matches to you.
Business matching has started and companies and communities are already scheduling one-on-one meetings with each other.
You review all attendees’ business profiles and request appointments with decision-makers you would like to meet.
We provide matchmaking support during preparation.
You respond to incoming appointment requests by declining or accepting.
At the event, you meet with your confirmed business matches based on the schedule you have created.

FAQs
How do booths work at ABM?
At ABM, your registration fee buys up to 31 appointments. You do not buy booth space. You do not exhibit but instead conduct pre-scheduled meetings.
Booths only function as the place to sit and meet. Booth location, or even having one, is therefore inconsequential. For that reason, booths are free and assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.
BOOTH SPACE IS EXTREMELY LIMITED! ABM Partners and Elite Members have first right of refusal followed by Members.
If you are not an ABM Member, it is unlikely that you will have a booth. However, as we keep mentioning, you do not need a booth. Travel light. Your success is created by the quality of your conversations, not by your booth display.
Vendors (people who do not have an annual client enrollment with us) who want a booth should apply as early as possible as booths are not guaranteed.
Buyers, Indigenous communities and development corporations do not have a booth.
If I get a booth, what is included?
Booths come with side and back draping, a skirted table, four chairs and booth number. Signage will not be provided.
When will I know where my booth is located?
Booth assignments are advised on November 22, 2024. Again, location is inconsequential because you do not need to attract traffic. Your appointments are set before you arrive on the trade show floor.
I do not want to register to participate in the business matching. Can I just walk around?
No. There is no walk-by traffic. All ABM delegates are engaged in prepared, pre-scheduled, confidential business development meetings.
Can I come to observe?
No.
Can I get a tour.
A member of the ABM team will be happy to show you around when no business development meetings are in progress.
I represent a provincial or federal government entity. Do I get in for free?
No.
I don’t want to conduct business development appointments. Can I host a workshop or get a speaking opportunity?
There are no workshops at ABM Canada. Instead, the agenda consists of one-on-one pre-scheduled meetings. Only ABM Partners and Elite Members have a standing invitation to speak. Other than that, the emcee manages a speakers list for the opening breakfast and the two lunches. Every ABM Delegate can get on it. Keep it short and sweet. No power points.

ABM Protocol
The productivity of ABM depends on the engagement by the event delegates.
Every ABM appointment represents a potential business opportunity. Therefore, every no-show, last-minute cancellation or pending appointment request can result in a lost opportunity.
A registration constitutes a delegate’s commitment to responding expeditiously to incoming appointment requests.
Inactive accounts, decision-makers who impede other delegates and reduce the productivity of ABM Canada by not responding expeditiously to incoming appointment requests, are removed from the event starting on October 22 and will not be refunded.
