Business Matching

NCAIED, in partnership with NIGA and utilizing ABM technology, will host this matchmaking session to bring together tribal – and Native-owned manufacturers, vendors and service providers with prospective clients, specifically gaming operations.

This event targets tribal- and Native-owned and operated companies, including Alaska Native Corporations, that offer products and/or services relevant to current or planned gaming operations. The matchmaking session aims to convene up to 100 vendors with up to 40 casino operators (both tribal and non-tribal).

Several workshops will address aspects of procurement.

Tribal-to-tribal business development has long been a goal across Indian Country. Organizations including NCAIED and NIGA have advocated to increase these business relationships by encouraging Tribes (in addition to non-tribal entities) to “Buy Indian”. However, barriers exist to expanding opportunity for Native-to-Native commerce, including lack of knowledge about tribal- and Native-owned vendors, lack of vendor knowledge about the needs of casino operations, and lack of curated matchmaking between vendors and buyers. NCAIED and NIGA are pairing up to tackle these barriers by hosting a Native-to-Native matchmaking session that assesses the needs of casino operations and scalability of tribal- and Native-owned vendors to facilitate productive business development interactions between the two.

The event will include facilitated interactions between vendors and operators, including the indentification of overlap between vendor products/services and casino operation needs.

The workshop agenda will run parallel to the business match appointments and delgates can choose to either attend a workshop or select appointments.
