This online event is geared towards the creation of business opportunities in renewable energy or simply to reduce your community’s reliance on grid generated electricity, or diesel gensets. Adding A solar energy project to your facility or community could lead to selling excess power back to the local utility (i.e., new revenue streams or OSR).
We’re also looking to recruit specifically wind energy experts and developers.
This renewable energy series is created in partnership with the Stswecem’c Xgat’tem First Nation and EVOLVSolar (ABM’s newest Powerhouse member!).
Here’s what ABM’s co-branding organizations had to say:
Clayton Harry, General Manager with Stswecem’c Xgat’tem First Nation: “Renewable energy is a focus of opportunity within our territory’s diverse ecosystem. It falls within our guiding principles of sustainability, economic diversity, and respect to our people, land, water and wildlife.”
Mike Daciw, Partner with EvolvSolar: ‘Solar PV is a great fit for First Nation communities looking to reduce their utility bills and increase their energy independence by producing their own power onsite. It’s also a visible statement of their commitment to the environment, demonstrating their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint and make a difference in their community.’
